Find inspiration through meditation

Ronald D. Walker

Find inspiration through meditation while star gazing. Where is the center of the known universe? I believe it is not the vast cosmos we are able to see on a clear night or while using a telescope, but a vision of our own inner being. We are each our own universe and we cannot connect with that vast space outside of our physical existence, except through our individual imagination. It is a power greater than any other force we will may experience. It transcends every obstacle and transports us to other places, other realms, other realities. I used it in my early life to escape from the harshness of the real world.

Find inspiration through meditation and introspection. People ask what to do to combat writer fatigue. I use a form of meditation I call move away from the problem. It is not a form described in the research I did on what meditation is said to be. It is an individualized practice where a person uses a technique: such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity to train attention and awareness and achieve a mental clarity and stable state to create a sense of emotional calm and inner harmony. Meditation is purported to be about altering consciousness, finding awareness and achieving peace. It requires forbearance of patience and consistent practice, to achieve a desired goal.

Find inspiration through meditation was a manifestation of the assigned instructors of Jon Bartleaux: https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/698776 who joined him in the practice of the nine popular types of meditation practice: mindfulness, spiritual, focused, movement, mantra, transcendental, progressive, loving-kindness and visualization. During the rebellion of the days in the 60’s,with people shouting ‘Make peace, not war’, they sought enlightenment through the use of drugs and practicing what was termed the art of meditation. People practicing meditation were reported to say, “It is what feels comfortable and what you feel encouraged to practice”, followed by a reference to ‘flower power’. Some traveled thousands of miles to hear their favorite guru expound on living a specific style and in an unconventional way.

Find inspiration through meditation using the nine forms of meditation listed are as follows:

Find inspiration through meditation using mindfulness meditation which originates from Buddhist teachings and it has been thought to be the one of the most popular meditation technique. Mindless meditation requires focusing attention on thoughts as they pass through your mind, without judging the thoughts or become involved with them. You simply observe and take note of any patterns. This practice combines concentration with awareness. You may find it helpful to focus on an object or your breath while you observe any bodily sensations, thoughts, or feelings. This type of meditation is good for people who don’t have a teacher to guide them, as it can be easily practiced alone.

Spiritual meditation is used in religions of Hinduism, Daoism and in Christian faith. It’s similar to prayer in that you reflect on the silence around you and seek a deeper connection with your God or Universe. Essential oils are commonly used to heighten the spiritual experience. Spiritual meditation can be practiced at home or in a place of worship. This practice is beneficial for those who thrive in silence and seek spiritual growth.

Find inspiration through meditation using focused meditation involves concentration using any of the five senses. Focus on something internal, like breathing or bring in external influences to help focus your attention. Mala beads, listening to a gong, or staring at a candle flame are techniques sometime used. This practice may be simple in theory, but it can be difficult for beginners to hold their focus for longer than a few minutes. If your concentration wanders, it’s important to come back to the practice and refocus. As the name suggests, this practice is ideal for anyone who require additional focus in their life.

Find inspiration through meditation with movement meditation at times brings thoughts of yoga. The practice of movement meditation may be walking in a quiet place, gardening and other gentle forms of motion. Qigong, pronounced chee-gong, is an ancient Chinese movement meditation exercise and healing technique that involves controlled breathing. Tai chi is a practiced mind-body exercise, is sometimes referred to as a form of qigong because it is said to cultivate moves and helps manage the circulating life force whose existence and properties are the basis of much Chinese philosophy and medicine. Movement meditation may be beneficial for people who find peace in action and prefer to let their minds wander.

Mantra meditation is prominent in many teachings, including Hindu and Buddhist traditions. This type of meditation uses a repetitive sound to clear the mind. It can be a word, phrase, or sound, such as the popular “Om.” It is not important whether your mantra is spoken loudly or quietly. After chanting the mantra for some time, you will be more alert and in tune with your environment. This allows you to experience deeper levels of awareness. Some people enjoy mantra meditation because they find it easier to focus on a word than on their breathing. This is also a good practice for people who do not seek quiet and enjoy repetition to find inspiration through meditation.

Find inspiration through meditation using transcendental Meditation is a popular type of meditation. This practice has been the subject of numerous studies in the scientific community. It is more customizable than mantra meditation, using a mantra or series of words that are specific to each practitioner. This practice is for those who like structure and are serious about maintaining a meditation practice.

Find inspiration through meditation in progressive relaxation, sometimes called body scan meditation, is a practice aimed at reducing tension in the body and promoting relaxation. This form of meditation involves slowly tightening and relaxing one muscle group at a time throughout the body. It may also help if you imagine a gentle wave flowing through your body to release pent up tension. Progressive relaxation has been used to relieve stress and unwind before bedtime.

Find inspiration through meditation using loving-kindness meditation is used to strengthen feelings of compassion, kindness, and acceptance toward oneself and others. It typically involves opening the mind to receive love from others and then sending a series of well wishes to loved ones, friends, acquaintances, and all living beings. Loving-kindness meditation is intended to promote compassion and kindness, it may be ideal for those holding feelings of anger or resentment.

Visualization meditation is a technique focused on enhancing feelings of relaxation, peace, and calmness by visualizing positive scenes or images. With this practice, it’s important to imagine the scene vividly and use all five senses to add as much detail as possible. Another form of visualization meditation involves imagining yourself succeeding at specific goals, which is intended to increase focus and motivation. Find inspiration through meditation using visualization meditation to boost their mood, reduce stress levels and promote inner peace.

Find inspiration through meditation to make living easier. Begin by sitting quietly and focus on breathing. It may be the best practice is to start in small moments of time of five or ten minutes and grow as you become more comfortable. Sit consistently for 20 minutes a day and do this for 100 days straight. Couple that practice with an additional 2 to 5 minutes of meditation throughout the day to break up the chaos and you should soon begin feeling the benefits of reduced stress and ease of practicing your chosen form of meditation. Whether you’re looking to reduce stress or find spiritual enlightenment, find stillness or flow through movement, there is a meditation practice for you.
